Patch or Panel replacement

I'm trying to decide if I should patch the dents/scraps in a side panel or replace the whole panel. Trying to determine if it's worth the $300 and extra time.

I am in the middle of a full shell off restoration and just put the shell back together (except this area). I have all the exterior trim, compartments, wheel wells, door frame, and interior walls off.

I also already have small sheet metal that would cover the patches.

Do you think I should patch or replace the whole panel?

I'd recommend full replacement. Patches make as much sense on an Airstream as they do on a pair of pants. It just looks wrong.

I have never had a new leg sewn onto a pair of pants.

I got patches on both sides, still looks like a cute airstream. If I am ever board in a few years I might consider a new panel. Depends on how much more work you want to do, or how soon do you want to go camping

Thanks All.

I ended up buying a roll from Airparts. Not too bad, $230 for 14'. Instead of messing with getting the patches right, I figure it will take a day to complete the whole replacement and decided to go with it.
