Scott,
The Olympic rivets are used for other applications besideds Airstreams. We use the ones with the neoprene/rubber washers in various roofing applications. Typically in conjunction with polymer panels that you want fastened down snuggly but not so tight as to crack. For this application they are great. But as has been pointed out you don't want them for Airstreams.

Wow you guys really get serious about this rivet stuff!! I am a new owner with lots to learn , so by listening to all of you bat it back & forth I have already learned an answer to my ? in my first post .Am I correct in assuming that I can apply Olimpics with a good hand pop rivet gun? I dont even know at this point what an Olimpic looks like before aplication. Guess I need to find a dealer & buy a few and experiment .
Any of you have any good ideas on how I can remove 1 1/2" of water from between the glass on my curved front wing window??? Thanks Reg
