old aluminum and new aluminum

I have a 1982 280 Tubo Diesel motorhome that looks like it has the old and new aluminum, can it be polished to look the same for each panel?

Yes, if done "properly".

Hill, welcome to the forum. There are many polishing techniques and products to help you get that camper just like you want it. Poke around in this Exterior Resto forum for a while and post any questions you might have. Lots of folks have already been down this road before.

you can get a terrific shine on that coach. The front caps take a bit more work than the sides. I stripped the grey paint off the bottom of mine and polished it out with blue magic , then sealed with Liquid Glass, it was not mirror shiny but looked very nice. Mirror shine would have taken more polishing time than I had to spend.
Get Removall and strip the clearcoat and go for it.

Hi and welcome. You have received a lot of polish advice already. My preference is the shine but less than mirror. With two types of alum, you will have the additional work of getting the same degree of shine. Good luck with your project. Where is Bulverde? joe
