Major repairs

Does anyone have any recommendations for someone in the Pacific NW that can advise us on repairing the damage done to our 1999 Safari by a falling tree.

Here is one man's journey with his new Airstream and a tree. They live on the Oregon Coast. You might find this thread helpful.

Also try using the search function above, type in tree damage. You may find other advice there. Or hopefully some other Seattlite will chime in.

Ouch!

Locally, I'd call AS of Spokane Welcome to Airstream of Spokane

My only concern vs. campcollectors trailer is that the side skin on the streetside looks a bit buckled. Does the front door open correctly? The door would be a bugaboo to set straight. Your glass looks intact.

I think AS of Spokane can set you straight (so to speak)
I'm so sorry about your trailer. This was my huge fear in this last windstorm.... I took our trailer out of our "campsite" site, just because of the trees.

On edit - some thoughts. Your trailer "may be totaled" by the insurance co. If you feel inclined, take the payoff money, and buy the trailer back for the salvage cost. I'd need some more pics, but it looks like you need at least two roof ribs and side ribs. Buy these from AS (the dealership can order them and have them dropped shipped. You will have to do almost exactly like Campcollector (Johnathan) did.

Like I said, though, you probably will have some creases up high on the trailer even after the repair.... Johnathan said that his faded with time.
Is that a 23 ft. Safari?

Dear SDMason- WOW! You never want to see damage to any Airstream. It's sort of like driving my a bad accident, you don't want to look, and you hope everyone is all right but you look anyway. Looks like you got hit pretty hard. I think the first thing to do is to see what your insurance company is going to do. What you have is major structrual damage to your body framing system. Then it may look worse than it really is. Out here in Connecticut our AS dealer has a gentleman who I have seen do magic on AS. One was a Bambi that actually rolled down a hill several times. The insurance company totaled it but the owner paid the difference for the repairs. It looks brand new! If this were my trailer, I would work with the insurance company and if they don't total the unit one you, get it to JC for repairs. Good luck and let us know how you make out!

You should inquire from a dealer, "how many trailers have they rebuilt."

You have major shell damage and possible frame damage.

Most insurance companies will pay to have your Airstream transported to a dealer that has a major rebuild track record, of which there are very few.
