Ladder Dented rear corner panel

A ladder during a tornado dented the left rear panel on my 81 Excella II. I am looking for options on repair. Of course, replacing the panel would be the best but how many shops will do it correctly? I don't want a hack job. I will leave it alone rather than get a hack job. I could replace it myself but that will take some time. I mainly need an estimate in order to get an insurance pay out. Then I can figure out what I want to do. It has a pretty good crease in it that a good paintless dent guy might be able to work out but there will be a scratch, which I can live with. I would rather take the interior out and buck rivet it. Will the Airstream mother ship quote it for me? Looks like a new panel is about $1000. I will post a pic once I figure out how to upload it to my web page. This group should have enough server space for photos now. This ain't the 1990's. I am in the southern middle Tennessee area.

Hello perry114: I am positive Jackson Center can make the repair. Send them a couple of good photos and ask for a quote. We had some minor body work done by them 10 years ago and it was a pleasant experience. We also got to see the Wright Patterson Air Force museum down in Dayton which was well worth the trip. Here is a photo of a trailer waiting repair at Jackson Center. Looks like it got rear ended by a dump truck. They can repair almost anything.

When I was at the factory an took the new factory tour, they have various years sheetmetal and forms from the 70s up. Maybe even the 60s up, but not south of one of those, I can't recall which, but yours as an 80s unit, they have the or can get the sheet metal and have all the forms needed if any need to be formed.

I myself am going to find out how good they are. I've been pleased with their work so far on other non-body related issues. My trailer is being re-skinned front to back from centerline to centerline, with the interior being removed and the exterior panels buck riveted as it was during construction. Mine caught a bit more than a ladder.

I would think JS is as good as it gets since they make the things. I will contact them and get a quote so I can get the insurance end rolling.

Thanks

Perry
