Interior is Gutted, Should I do the windows now?
Likely a stupid question here. Just bought a 76 Ambassdor and have gutted the interior to rebuild all cabinetry, etc. The interior panel is in excellent shape and we plan to repaint. However, the small double pane windows have condensation and flaking film in between the panes that need to be cleaned out. I am reading as much as I can about window repair, riveting, etc. and am realizing that removing the windows and having to replace the exterior buck rivets will likely require more effort than replacing interior rivets.
So, if my assumptions are correct, I will need to remove the interior panels to correctly install the new exterior buck rivets around the windows? Is there a fix for the double pane windows I'm not aware of that could be done from inside without removing exterior rivets? Thanks for wahtever help you experienced hands can provide.
