Never seen that before. All the ones I've seen are simple U shapes of bent up aluminum. Wondering if the factory had some excess extrusions on the day that your trailer was built?

I believe my Caravanner has the same extrusions. They snap on and off the horizontal ribs. Have you tried Airstream Supply (Intermountain Airstream) in Salt Lake City? I was out there last month and I got the impression they have some of it. I hope my memory serves me well, since I need some, too.
If you call ask for a fellow by the name of "Z." He's very helpful.

My 75 argosy has them too. I believe they help hold/ support the interior skins. Mine does not have them everywhere. Are you missing some?

As for me, I'm not missing any but will want to reinforce a few areas where I plan to install cabinetry, etc, which would benefit from some extra support. You are right, they are not everywhere, and in some places they slide along the ribs.

I'm with youngpeck... I've got some cabinetry I'm planning on installing and want all the reinforcement I can get. And you're exactly right, they snap in and out.
After posting the question, I dug out my 77 owners manual, and theres that dang extrusion, part #100114, also know as a horizontal stringer. I've checked on on the after market sites to no avail, but I'll start making phone calls. Phone call and email into Airstream, desperate for some good luck in this search!!

im looking for that extrusion too!
Did anyone have luck on this extrusion? I've got my sovereign gutted and looks as though I'm missing about 16' in various places.
thanks in advance.

I know this message thread is several years old but just wanted to say it has been helpful to me.
I am currently chasing down a leak inside my bedroom wall, and found this strut inside the wall. Part of the bed frame does screw into it. Nice to know that the one piece snaps onto a mounting rail, in case I need to remove it.
The leak appears to be at this strut, most likely one of the rivets that holds the mounting rail to the shell, but need to wait for more rain to know for certain. Wet insulation got me in the general vicinity.
