Help! 1967 AS Safari end cap segment replacement

Hello,

we are currently restoring a 1967 Airstream Safari.
Which started with the replacement of one damaged side panel with several patches and deep scratches ended in the replacement of nearly all panels except of the end caps. The temporary result gives a foretaste of a beautiful Airstream revival.

Only one issue gives me headache. The lower front end cap segment is severly damaged. It has already two patches and uncountable deep scratches in the alclad surface.
It would be a shame not to replace it.

Unfortunately it is a 1967 Airstream. While end cap segments for Airstreams of 1969 and later are still available, it is nearly impossible to find such a panel for 19661968, espacially when you are situated in Germany.
Attempts to rebuild the panel by a car body builder with an english wheel have failed. Further we checked the option of strech forming a new one. But the costs, including the production of a mould, materials and loans, are extraordinary high (>5000$).
Probably our last chance would be a replacement panel of a donor trailer.
But vintage Airstreams in Germany or in the EU are very very rare.

So I would like to ask you for help. Do you know anybody who could perhaps help to find a replacement panel? Do you have a contact or just an idea where to find a donor trailer between 1966-1968?

If you like I can introduce the whole restoring project a bit deeper in another thread.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks for your answer,

yes, we have already checked Airstream4u but they didn't have it. We are now especially looking for the part in the USA or other places outside of Europe. We have a friend who can take care of the shipment via a container, so the shipping wouldn't be a problem. The difficulty really is to find this specific part somewhere.

Have a beautiful day!
