front dome 1967 International Airstream

I have a dent in the forward dome round part of the roof where a small tree limb hit it. I'm told there are not parts for this section any longer and need to either fabricate or find a donor part. Does anyone know of where to find and purchase a donor part? Attached image.

Welcome to the Forums!

My recommendation would be to try using "paintless" dent removal techniques to pull the dent out from the outside as much as possible. You may find that it is still noticeable if you look for it, but something you can live with.

If you can't live with it, then next, I would remove the two affected segments and take them to someone who is skilled with an English wheel, and have the dents worked out, then reinstall using Olympic rivets so that you don't have to remove the interior.

Last resort is finding donor parts. There are a few online AS parts vendors that occasionally traffic in used parts. Vintage Trailer Supply is one. Also check the AirForums classifieds, ebay, etc.

good luck!

You could also try a pnumatic suction cup slide hammer.
