from scratch Whale Tail

I'm stripping down my trailer and the aft end caps are in worse shape than I thought, not yet a mega problem as I plan to English wheel them back to awesome but the hunt for a satisfactory English wheel gave me pause for thought…..which is always dangerous. (I'm not working in aviation anymore so all the industrial equipment is out of my grasp).

I started thinking about a back up plan and whether I could get paper templates from someone to whip up a shiny new Whale Tail from flat sheets. Although I love the WT's it would be straying quite far for the originality of the original trailer but just wanted to see what I'd be up against if I get stuck.

I do have a lot of sheet metal experience but making 4 replacement compound curve end caps is quite the hurdle hence the question….

I think Colin Hyde, of TheVAP fame. has templates for 13 panel endcaps. I don't know if that includes the whale tale panels or not, but you could contact him.
