First 'Oops' - Garage is tougher than the end cap!

Oh well, while I'm pretty despondent at the moment, maybe, in time, I will decide it's charming!

With no backside access, PDR isn't going to be an option. Dang-O-rama!

personally, when something I have is so nice that I am afraid to use it because I might scratch it... I just scratch it myself to get it out of the way.

Bummer for you, but it could be so much worse, right?

...and, I bet you'll never do that again.

I'm so sorry to read about this. If read having the trailer sit in the hot sun might cause dents to relax a bit.

So you backed it into the car garage behind the shelter?

Were you backing in solo?

What's on the inside wall of that radius? The reason I ask is mine has a wardrobe and overhead cabinets there. I found that there is NO interior skin behind the cabinetry. If yours has similar overhead storage, you may find that removing the locker and insulation gives you access to the inside of the outer skin......jus' sayin', you may be able to make it much better without a panel replacement. Mine was too crunched to repair.

Ugg, that'd be a lot harder than a wardrobe and locker.....

First 'Oops' - Garage is tougher than the end cap!

Sorry to hear about this. There are a number of threads here about really creative patches that may be inspirational for you! I'm thinking of some on my end caps just for decoration - a ding would make me move faster on that. [emoji23]

Full repair at Jackson Center is another option but unless you're working on a museum piece - you could leave it alone or patch it and enjoy camping! [emoji3]

On edit - here's (I hope) a link to some of those threads....

Yep, we did that too...

Well, actually my husband did it when he was backing in one day without me.

That was last year. This year, a customer brought in their trailer to get repaired, saying it was covered by insurance. That had never occurred to me. But, yep, sure enough! I called Progressive and it was covered.

Not only that, because we have a 'descending deductible' and had not claimed anything for five years, there was NO deductible. Progressive covered the whole thing!! It's just been fixed and looks brand new!

Moral of the story: check your insurance. They might cover that and you can get it fixed!

Maybe if you can crease the other corner the same it would look like it's an aerodynamic design feature for better stability at highway speed.

Yes, the whole garage just jumped forward ten, or so, feet (that's my story, and I'm.....)

Of course, you don't think Linda would let something like that happen, do you?

It is just a "character" mark, or "Beauty Spot". I have a couple of small dings caused by over zealous ice clearing... I am still pissed at myself about it, but serves as a constant reminder to be more careful!

We only realized we hit a bird (not a pterodactyl) on US 97 in Oregon after stopping for the day and finding remnants of the poor thing in the dent on our end cap. The $4,000 repair was handled very nicely by Progressive.

I once had a car that I loved so much that I never drove it because I didn't want it to get damaged. Finally realized that what I really had was a dust collector in my garage. Life was a lot more relaxed after that realization. Now I drive my cars, even if I really love them. While I still try to take really good care of them, the fact that they have beauty marks just reminds me what they are for in the first place - to enjoy!

But still, I know it's frustrating knowing that it was completely preventable. Chin up, buddy. Now it looks like a lovingly used coach, with many memories waiting to be made.
