We have had so many people ask about installing panels as their budgets would keep them from having a shop do the work. It is so very hard to discribe what a shaver looks like and how it works.
There is tons more to installing panels but it is always nice to see one more piece of the puzzle.
Dan,
your site keeps getting better and better. it took about fifty of these and some vulcum to fill the holes after removing my old armstrong air conditioner. you shaver tool is very nice, but in a pinch a dremel tool and a steady hand will do.(Where could I get a steady hand?) keep up the good work. Don
A picture tells a thousand words! I'm sure you have shed light for lots of folks...we've installed 6-700 of those puppies, but trying to explain a rivet shaver - people don't get it until they've used one or at least seen one in action. The only thing we did different is dip each one in vulkem before inserting into the hole.
Thanks!
Shari

Shari,
Thank you for the kind words. There are tons of small projects, just like this one, that we are planning that should help. Every little bit helps folks understand, and it helps make some of those large jobs not be to daunting.
