Corner Panel Replacement or Repair
The lower rear corner of my 1976 Airstream Sov 31 ft has some damage and when removed the rub rail I noticed that a patch had been added, only very poorly done. There is no butyl tape, only a slight bit of silicone and very few rivets actually holding the patch on. Hence the subfloor being gone in the rear. I need to repair this and at first since I was not able to find a pre made formed piece on any airstream part store, I assumed a flat piece of sheet would work just find. Once I removed it tho, it appears to have been a pre formed piece. I am wondering if anyone has encountered this? Thinking my options are to either hammer out the dents and patch it better or get a new piece and see if a hot rod rests shop with an english wheel can make me something. Unless anyone knows if I can get this piece pre made? Thank you!
