Closed end blind rivets

I don't think I have read on here about anyone using this style of rivet. We have used them for repairs on aluminum boats, they hold up and work great, even under waterline. Always smear a little marine urethane sealant on, but they are strong and waterproof. You can look at them at Jay-Cee Sales & Rivet Co, they carry a large selection of different rivets. I use a compound rivet tool to install them, if any interest in the model I use I can post that also.

Thanks for sharing! I wasn't even aware such a thing existed. I'm still in the info gathering phase before I start any demo/restoration work, but as I'm saving information that I know I'll need to refer back to later, this is certainly going to come in handy.

Looking at their website, I didn't see any mention of strength. Any idea how they compare to a bucked rivet? IIRC, I saw a thread where someone mentioned that, regarding the airstream skins and windows etc., the bucked rivets were the strongest connection followed by the Olympic style and then pop rivets.
