Belly Skin

I want to replace a 4' X 4' section of belly skin on the rear of my trailer. Where do I go to get a sheet of flat aluminium skin? It will be under the trailer so I don't really care if it shines or not.

You can mail order it from Aircraft Spruce or any airplane parts supplier near you. There's gotta be someone near the airport in Phoenix that works on planes. Sometimes they will even have scraps ~

try a sheet metal shop

I just had a guy who owns a sheet metal shop order me a 4x12' sheet. I think he gave it to me at cost.. was only $64...came in the next day. Im sure there are some sheet metal shops nearby you. I think shipping for such a large sheet would be pretty steep

Sheetmetal as used by Airstream does not cost much to ship, since it is coiled up and placed in a 16" x 16" x 48" box.

Ups delivers them all the time.

How much do you want... (info that is)

There are a number of good threads:
HOLY MOLY! What are you paying for
Good source for aluminum...

I didn't use the cheapest. I can say Metal Supermarkets might need some advance notice to get the 0.025". The 0.032" is sturdy but stiffer if you can stand the minor weight difference.
