Before I start tearing stuff apart lower outside trim question

I need to replace part or all of the floor in my rig (1959 Avion) and I see there are twisted shank nails coming in from the outer skin to hold the floor in place and its covered with a trim piece. Can you tell me the actual name of this trim piece? I tried to do a search but found nothing.
Secondly it is attached with rivets so I am wondering if they are riveted thru the skin and into the c channel with Olympic rivets. I would like to remove the trim piece and reattach the skin to the new floor with the same type of fastener and then reattach the trim piece with Olympic rivets. Does that sound like a good plan? I just donít want to remove it and then realize it was a mistake and it's impossible to reattach it without tearing the whole trailer apart.
Thanks Steve

No clue on the Avion, on an Airstream that would probably be called a belt line moulding. I would drill out one or two rivets just to see how they are attached and whether an olympic would work to reinstall it or not. From the picture those look like bucked rivets, which would mean that the trim piece would like would have to been attached as part of one of the panels. Bucking a rivet requires access to the back side during the installation process.
