anyone in Austin, TX have any 1024-T3 ALCLAD?

I need just one little piece, 44 X 30 inches. Any suggestion on where to get one that size?

My '60 tradewind has battery acid corrosion on the front.

Do you mean 2024-T3?

You can order as much or as little as you need from Airparts or Aircraft Spruce...it's usually 48" x ???? when purchased from a coil. A piece that small wouldn't cost much...a 48"x48" piece of .032 is only about $50

If you don't mind a drive, Westbrook Metals in San Antonio sells 2024-T3, .032" by the square foot in 48 Inch widths. They have a slight cutting charge. You can also try Westbrook metals in Austin but the last time I was there they didn't carry it.

Good Luck
Pat

Westbrook metals for aluminum supply

I picked up one sheet of 2024-T3AL at westbrook metals in San Antonio. Price was $220 for a 4x12 sheet.

Airparts and Aircraft Spruce are nominally cheaper but after shipping this was a lot less!

I'll have some left over after my project is complete and then I'll sell it.
