Any Ornithologists Out There?
If you're not laughing you're crying.
1. Anyone else had their AS dented by a bird?
2. Any idea based on this singular feather what type of bird ran into me?
Now is the time to help me name my Airstream based on the bird who met it's demise.

The Avianator?
The Birdinator?

Sorry, I didn’t get it the first time I read your post. Since hawks are the most reckless roadside large bird, I recommend “The Aluminnial Falcon”.
Apologies if that’s already been taken.

Any Ornithologists Out There?
Try a big inner tube that goes outside the dent by a bit, a piece of plywood big enough to fully cover the outside diameter of the inner tube, with a hole that fits your shop vacuum hose. Put the inner tube softly inflated around the ding, put the plywood over it, and apply suction. Sometimes the dent comes out without a trace. That one may do that because it’s not creased.
Hope you are successful. Note that there are no structural parts inside the end caps, just insulation and inner skin. That’s why they are so easy to dent nowadays. Vacuum trick is worth a try. Replacing that part is pricey!

By the looks of it you were "Lucky" it didn't hit the window. That would have been quite a mess.
How about calling her the "Lucky Lady"?
Hope you can pop that one out with suction.

I need to not post late at night. Hans Solo’s ship was the Millenium Falcon, so Aluminium Falcon would be more in keeping.

Did your impact occur at night? Ow-Oh!
I hope your duck-dimple comes out, using the ideas offered by others.
Try to stay out of the flight path, Cap’n Sully!

I drilled 2 holes and used 2 shop Vacs when one didn’t do it. That did the trick for mine. Also, wet the tube or even some Vaseline to give a tighter seal.

Bird Hit
Sorry! My Missouri guess is a vulture based on the size and color of the remaining feather. Looks hauntingly familiar to the vulture hit our corporate jet took while landing in Mid Missouri! If this was a dusk or night hit, I would suggest an owl. Sorry but there is not too much you can use in terms of a name with a turkey vulture (Cathartes aura). AURA ALUM!

HFT Dent Puller kit
I got a Harbor Freight dent kit with vacuum cup and slide hammer. Worked great.

My first guess would be a goose. In the Dakotas or Iowa pheasant. Properly prepared very tasty 😄
