Looks good! Your trailer must be a mobile command center with all those antennas

Aaron - looks great! Did you remove the blue tape? If so did you get a clean vulcum seal?

Pretty decent Ken, I had to use tape, forgot to plug the end of the Vulkem tube and had to cut it close to the cartridge the bead needs a little final finessing with a razor blade, but it sealed tight and I hope no more leaks, at least at that entry point It is nice having the light back from that Vista View. Maybe I should pull the overhead cabinets and put Vista Views the entire length of the unit ala the VW microbuses of yore....

Brett -- This is no mere antenna farm. Aaron has one foot in Virginia and one in North Carolina. This conflict extends to many of our Airstreams. We use our trailers as a getaway from the hustle and bustle of our work-week life. (Unless we use them in the yard as a mother-in-law house... or son-in-law house as the case may be. But I digress.)

Civilization vs. nature is a battle we carry to our silver passion. This syndrome goes by the name AWACS (Airstream with a Conflicted Spirit). Aaron's picture will surprise most people familiar with the Air Force's AWACS. The first two antennas are obviously civilization focused. The rectangular aluminum antenna third in line is actually a receiver for nature's soothing breezes. The large 4th antenna is a noisy machine but it does allow us to enter the rough world of forest and fen. Two and two -- the score is tied.

Which brings us to Aaron's project. The Vista View is a two-way electromagnetic transmitter that brings sunlight inside and our gaze outside to the swaying treetops. Clearly nature wins out. Life is not balanced (tell me 'bout it...) but the good wins out!
