My 1980 caravelles have rubber t profile edge protectors on table top but also other panels. The have started to part etc and I'd like to replace them with the typical aluminium trim I see on so many table edges in 50'and 60's trailers. Not sure if it was standard then or retrofitted, but either way I'd be interested to find a source for this trim.
What I used was 3/4" wide aluminum trim designed to be used with carpeting. I bought everything both of my local Menards had, I have also seen it at our local hardware store. Go to the carpet area.

thanks go to member InsideOut , I was just viewing their dinette information and came across their link to this supplier and confirmed they have what you and I are both looking for.
You might try Outwater Plastics Industries, 24 River Road, Bogota, NJ 07603 201-498-8750. We bought our aluminum trim from them and they provided good service. Not sure if they have exactly what you are looking for, but they are worth a look.
