Tambour sheet material

Where is the best place to purchase replacement tambour doors? I would like to purchase it in sheets so I can cut it to fit in my applications. Is there a direct supplier for airstream?

Outwater plastics sells it in a few wood species and some plastic materials...
Outwater Plastics - Master 2008 Catalog - page 236
Outwater Plastics - Master 2008 Catalog - page 233
Sorry this is not the plastic kind like original, but then again if the original was so great, why would you be replacing it.

Search the forums on Winona and you'll end up with many tambour project threads. Winona Manufacturing's tambour page is at Products - Omega National Products

AAAH, Tambor. I worked with a lot of that stuff in the 70s. I built many store (Macy's) props and fixtures with it. Tambor was very poular when it came out.

Man, I wish I sold actual products and not just a service... this seems like the perfect thread to say, "I sell that, buy from me"

Frank,

If I send you one, can you make three more that match my veneer?

I have not been able to find a match from those folks that just sell them off the shelf.

I can do that in any wood species. Make it new with solid wood if you want too.

Something to keep in mind when ordering Tambor door material is the thickness. You may find that some of this stuff from after market sources is a little thicker and will not slide in the tracks that are in your unit. Also, some of it does not have a cloth back. The paper backing like Airstream sells is alot better than some that you can find out there.
