Tambour color change

We are considering a color change for the cabinets in our 71 Sovereign. Would like to swich from dark wood to white but are concerned about trying to "re-color" the tambour doors to white. Can this be done without making a mess or regrets after some flexing and sliding over a period of time?

I've wondered about this too. I've seen some online where they painted them but that seems like a lot movement for paint to withstand even with a good primer. Anxious to read responses from those who know...

I used krylon white as per another airforums member about a year ago and it still looks like they were just done. I can't remember her name but she pretty much painted the hole inside, even the shower pan. Hope this helps.

Perhaps the tambor "fabric" used on the current sport models would be the correct size? It is a matte silver tone color.
