Stripping paint from interior panels
I have looked around here but with no luck. Anyone have tips on stripping 63 years worth of paint from the original aluminum interior panels of a '52? I would love to have the interior of my Cruisette be polished aluminum.
I think if it was my trailer and I wanted the inside polished, I would highly consider using new aluminum, especially if there are multiple coats of paint.
Aircraft Remover by KleenStrip will get MOST paint off. Multiple coats may require multiple applications.
Hi there, I've been working on my '59 Tradewind's cabinets and woodwork and have been using Citristrip. I've found it's taking the paint off of the aluminum too when I slop some on where the woodwork meets the walls or ceiling. You might give it a try. It's not as toxic as most chemical based strippers. Good luck! Let us know if it works for you! Citristrip 1/2-gal. Safer Paint and Varnish Stripping Gel-HCG73803T - The Home Depot
