Replace kitchen sink basin cabinet

Follow this forum religiously and have not found this topic so asking...

We have a 2020 27' Globetrotter and not a fan of the jutted out sink cabinet. We travel with our dogs and it always seems like it is in the way. Has anyone replaced the whole cabinet with a streamlined cabinet, as in the 30'? We have considered just selling and purchasing the 30' but we have already added many expensive upgrades to our 27' and I feel like with a few changes, it would meet our needs. Any one with experience with this?

TIA

This may be a little too late, but thought I would share what I did.
It was fairly easy to remove the bump out sink cabinet. I added storage under the sink where there was none, switched 3 burner stove top for a 2 burner and added another hole in the wall, using the void behind pull out pantry. More floor space and more counter top space.

replace sink base

This looks great and exactly what we are hoping to do. Questions:

1. How were you able to match the original cabinetry?
2. Did you build this yourself or have a cabinet maker do offsite?
3. Did you have a fabricator build the new countertop and is it corian?

So happy to see this project detail! Thanks so much!

1. I used Wilsonart Landmark laminate purchased from Home Depot.
2. I build everything myself and take my time.
3. I used 3/4 sanded plywood I cut myself with Wilsonart Laminate on top.
The edge trim is 1/8" thick x 3/4" wide aluminum which I bent until I got the right fit.

I enjoy working with the laminate material and many choices are available.

Happy to share,
Ron
