That would be a bit more challenging because it's likely not just the cabinet fronts. Even so, the process would be the same.
Do the necessary work to find out exactly what tint you want among wood stains. For me, that would include finding a piece of cabinet that I can take out and "sacrifice" as a model for the stains. Visit the hardware store and choose one or more that seem to be the best, under the conditions (hardware store lighting). Then try it out at home. See what you think.
Staining is the usual thing. Light sanding to remove any prior varnish. Vacuum and then use a tack cloth to clean it really well. Appy stain, not too heavily. Then apply varnish. I usually use a satin water-based polycrylic.
