Plastic nosing in bathroom of '86 Sovereign

The creme colored plastic nosing on the edge of the bathroom sliding door and the two sides of the shower enclosure entrance are starting to deteriorate. The width of the center area is a half inch and the entire width which includes the part that slides under the aluminum strip is 11/16 inch. I have seen black vinyl for exterior nosing but not sure if it is thin enough. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement with a length of 74 inches times three?

Here is another picture of the plastic nosing. One correction to my previous post, nosing in on both edges of the door and the other location is on the right hand side of shower entrance.

You should investigate molding trims like the link to this brown one for potential substitution. The original stuff is likely long gone from the market.
