Overhead TV Cabinet
Hi all, I’ve been looking at the threads and haven’t seen this one yet. I have a 2000 34’ w/slide. Originally there was the old style 50# box tv installed in the front cabinets. The previous owners removed it and mount an older flat panel screen. I removed that to replace with a new flat panel (smart) tv. I’ve found I prefer the eyesight advantage of just letting sit on the counter. So the question…there are metal L brackets inside (see pics) which I’m assuming are supports for the weight of the cabinets + tv. However the bracket on the right is loose - not welded to the bottom as the one on the left is. So I’m assuming I want to repair that, or have someone else do it - not sure how that is done. Second, there are also lots of cords may or may not be tv related, how would I go about decreasing that mess? Thirdly, I’d like to make the bottom of the center cabinet flush with the side cabinets, then build a box to fit in the existing opening, add doors, and use for storage. Any advice/input would be appreciated.
