I'm looking for replacement overhead locker door stays. It is the spring loaded "cylinder" that keeps the wooden door up. I'm tired of using my head to keep the door open while I put away the dishes! Has anyone found a source for this part?

Try your local auto parts store. They usually have quite a selection, another source could be an industrial supply house like Grainger or McMaster-Carr. I know that my WeatherGuard tool boxes use them.

Why are we in this basket...and where are we going
Thank you for the tip Tadd and Beth. I'll check at Camping World for it. I was hoping for a direct replacement so I wouldn't have to drill new holes.

BTW - The link I put up above has 3 versions but only 2 are the full stays. The one listed as "Metal" is only the cylinder and one side mount. I wanted to order metal ones rather than plastic but had to call because the photo was funny. That is when they explained it was only a replacement part, not the hole stay. We ended up getting the more expensive of the plastic ones. I can post back after they arrive next week if you want feedback on how they work.

Thank you folks for the information. I did get a call from Inland RV and they have the direct replacement cabinet door support at about $9.00 each. I will place an order with them. Inland RV has been helpful to me for direct replacement parts for my 86 Airstream.
