I'd like a nightstand on my side!

Looks like one should have been included by the factory, but has anyone had one made? Looks like the PO of mine had something screwed to the wall. I'd like to see some pictures of some good ideas.
thanks

I had the same layout and intended, for four years, to build a night table for that side. I never got around to it and ended up converting the queen to twin beds which we like a whole lot better.

I did unscrew the queen from the floor and move the pedestal forward about an inch and a half. That put it hard against the table on the front side, but made enough room behind the bed to get a foot on the floor when making the bed.

My other thought was to convert the queen to a full-size bed 6" narrower. That would have made enough room behind the bed for a decent bedside table and plenty of room to get back there to make the bed. If I had not done the twin conversion, I would have changed to a full-size bed. The conversion would have been quite easy.

We'd rather have the twins also. Any pictures, plans, cost, comments on the process.
thanks!

Check out my 2005 Classic 28 thread for photos and a description of my change from crosswise queen to twins starting at about post #254. I did a bit more cabinet work that necessary for a simple change to twins.

Thanks John,
Love what you've done over the years. Your talent and patience shows. Wish I'd paid more attention in wood shop.
