I fastened my new cabinets to the walls not the floor.

Backing strip
I screwed a backing strip of wood, to the floor, behind the front of the cabinet, then screwed through the backing plate and into the back of the cabinet.
Worked for me...

Really? So they are just completely loose? No issues with this?

They are not loose. I screwed a nailing ledger to the wall, screwed the cabinets together and then screwed them to the ledger and the wall. The cabinets are firmly attached to the wall, just not to the floor. No problem on our recent 2500 mile trip to Salida for the RMVAC.

This is good to hear because I was actually just wanting to secure them to the walls.

Since no dimension on the Airstream's interior is straight for longer than 2 inches, it will be necessary to kerf the vertical and sometimes the horizontal ledgers to conform to the walls.
