Help need to find this part for flip out table

Can anyone tell me who would carry this part . I am finishing the build of my dinette conversion to recliner and flip out table and need this part to complete. It is a clasp that holds the two table sections together while stowed. I have check most cabinet hardware sites online and can find nothing . Any suggestions ?? Thank you .

The closest thing I could find is this. From the photo, I don't see you need a lock. Gravity will keep it folded.

I have that latch on my big table but my table stows in the vertical position where the leaves can unfold. This table looks like it stows in the horizontal position maybe even with a cushion on top of it. Unless the photo is rotated, I don't see it.

It doesn't look like a lock, more like a blind hinge that allows the panel to roate 180° from open to closed, that has the unique feature that when the panel is open, the top of the table is completely flush, no hinge visible.

Table leaves that fold up instead of folding down are uncommon, and I can't think of a source that has hinges like that.

But if you wouldn't mind a hinge sticking up slightly, then just using an ordinary piano hinge instead would work fine.

It appears to me that OP is modeling the same configuration as OEM late model AS. The hinge that protagonist speaks of is attached to the lower panel and is up under the "shelf".

That is exactly how mine looks. Those hook latches that I posted should work as long as the hook is located such that it points down.

We completed our dinette removal/ recliner upgrade as well.

The hook is the last part I need.

I was thinking/planning to modify my dinette table and got a great suggestion from another member. Look at post 2 or 3. A Soss Hinge might work just as well or better.

I think there is some confusion on this thread. If you are looking for that spring loaded wire bail hook, I have never seen one except on an AS. Call your dealer (or any dealer) and have them drop ship one to your door.

So I was talking to the carpenter where I work and he looked at the picture of the clasp , and said "you know you can do a lot with a nail ". and the light went on , how he describe
Parts are ;
one nail to be bent to match as described in the photo
one small spring goes onto the nail to the head side to supply tension.
one piece on metal flat stock , can use anything like common straight bracket, cut to shape, bore appropriate holes
one brass grommet to be the receiver side of the clasp Nail now cut to size.
I have the parts just need the time , working on the sliding frame for now , hope to get this table assembled next week or two and I post pics when done

Finished and installed new flip out table , but left the clasp out for later . After seeing the table installed we felt that the table would be just fine in a open position even for traveling .The table and leaf weight 20 plus lbs. and I do have bull dog clasps at the end of the rails to hold it in position though rolling down the highway one never knows the g forces .
Anyway built it a bit different from most other tables, Formica over 5/8 Baltic birch ply ,and that gave me a lot of grief namely hardware that I could not use because it wasn't 3/4 stock and so had to toss the Soss hinges for the 180 fold over hinge (and they are not as tight ). The fold out leg is like the original table it is by Hafele , the sliding frame is a modified part from Lee Valley (wood table extension slides )
One added feature is the 120V with USB ports attached to the cabinet then plugged into the lower outlets on the trailer regular or inverted side .
Another mod was to add 1/2 "ply over the street side settee extending it 4" out , thus eliminating the sensation of rolling off when seated .
After doing the project in Formica I would suggest wood only as it is the easy and only way to go.( Formica = glass)
Oh did I mention the chair in brown leather, OMG is it comfortable!!!

I leave my table in the upright position all the time and it travels better that way.
