Ha! Warning! Fold out table bites!

Learned the hard way. When I arrived at the dunes last week, was in a hurry to get set up. Raised the fold out table and reached under it to slide out the legs and it bit the dickens outof my ring finger. Took one third of the nail and needed 3 stitches. Take your time and keep the digits out of the way....

Hey Raptorrider,
I was not going to mention this, but we just returned from our first vacation with our Airstream. Second day, I saw my wife struggling to hold the table up and extend the leg down, eager to help and keep things going smoothly, I jumped into action. Yep you got it, smushed here finger like a grape. The good news was she only swore at me for ten minutes, she was to busy watching it swell up for the next two hours. Me and the boys made a bee line for parts unknown. I'm sorry about your hand, I'm sure it will heal up.... Al

Same here only I wasn't in a hurry, just didn't know any better.
No stiches, a little blood and very sore for several days, I don't think I will do that again !!!!!

Talking

Maybe a recall? Do I sense a large $ class action settlement coming on here? Has to be product liability. New Excellas for everyone maybe? Can't be that many of us that are that clumsy or can there??? Next time, I will just let my better half take care of the inside stuff!

New Nail

I too have experienced the pain. New nail on the thumb and a lot of ****. Anyway I always alert my travelers of the danger, but often too late. Has anyone come up with a smart fix other than replacing the velcro, etc. Would like to hear.
