Fold out table
I recently did some repair on my fold out table and noticed that there seems to be a piece broken which may lock the leg to keep it from unlocking when folded up. The piece is easily removed by placing an allen wrench into a screw head on either side, removing the screw on each side and removing the piece. Is this an available part through an Airstream dealer?

If I fold the leg underneath, what keeps the leg from pulling away from the table and hitting the inside wall of the trailer? Also, what keeps the inside tube from pulling out and hitting the floor once the table is folded up? I see that there is some type of nylon piece farther back underneath the trailer that might be tightened up but am not sure. My '77 Excella had a wire loop you pulled to unlock the aluminum frame so that you could pull it out and unfold the other table leaf.

Ahh.
I would call Airstream, or Colaws salvage, and see if those parts are still available.
My 71 had a simple lock mechanism on the folding leg,( spring and 2 tabs) and a clasp on the table extension to secure it against the stationary piece.
Maybe you can adapt some solid hardware to do the job for you.

For anyone else looking for this part:
I found the part for my table - same as Craig's in his picture. Got mine from Inland RV (inlandrv.com) part #19112. It's called a table leg latch. Cost me $13.95 + shipping, etc.

We have an '85 Excella. When completely folded up and vertically stored against the wall our table leg attaches to the bottom of the table with a large section of velcro. One section on the back or "inside" of the leg and the other to the bottom of the table. My assumption has been that the velcro is original, hmmmmm, don't know. I can tell you though, the velcro works very well. Our A/S is in storage for now so I can't actually measure, but I know it is as wide as the table leg and around 4 inches long.
On edit: I can tell you that our table leg hinge looks just like the one in your picture.
