Flying Dinette Table in Basecamp 20

On my first trip with a new 2022 Basecamp 2 a mile of washboard bumps completely detached the dinette table from the floor and sent it to a new location. It looks like the table was held in place by 6 screws, but they no longer fasten securely into the floor.

Can anyone recommend a fix for this? Would putting wood glue in the holes before attaching the screws be a good first option to try? Or is there a better way?

Thank you,

Jason

I have used a wood epoxy by JB Weld for some wood repairs that have involved fasteners.

Epoxy or wood glue plus a match stick.

I've had good success (not on tables) with threaded inserts in plywood.
You drill a larger hole appropriate for the insert, screw them in, then use a machine screw to hold the table base to them. IMO, much stronger than a wood screw.
There's two types, one for hardwood the other for plywood.
Since you're already dealing with a stripped hole, why not enlarge it?

The "ears" on the plywood version are pretty tenacious in grabbing. You use a hex wrench to insert, then a machine screw fits in the center. They're sized by depth and the size of the fastener.

I filled the holes with wood glue and reattached the table. I also lower it before traveling. It seems to have fixed the issue.
