Factory installed bunkbed?

Im working on a 2005 25' Safari that has a bunk bed installation. Is this a factory fitted unit or a dealer add-on. Its well built with an aluminum frame construction and special mattress. Just curious as I havent seen one yet.

One caveat: the hairdo is not optional with this year's trailers.

Hi, I hope Airstream put a huge warning label on the top bunk. [50 lbs Max.] Or something like that. I personally wouldn't trust it, hanging from the ceiling like that.

Hi Bob, Its actually very well constructed with an aluminum frame and screwed into the wall at all contact points. If you read Silvertwinkies posts he goes on to say that these units were designed with bunkbeds in mind so they added extra support in the roof for the safari's that would get a bunkbed. I am removing this feature from this trailer as the owner no longer wants it but Im impressed with the build quality.
