Drawer slide latch repair

My drawer latches came loose when the very small wood screws stripped out.

Here is my solution. Two 6/32x3/4 machine bolts fit perfectly. Wished they would just do this at the factory.

I have had my drawers come out and broke apart. I now hook a bungee cord to the drawers prior to traveling.

Ditto here Dave. The friction latch is inadequate.
