Does this have a name?

Hi everyone, I ran across this configuration in a 31' 1976 Sovereign and want to know what exactly it is. Is it a cabinet? A table? Something else? Is there a name for this particular piece of furniture? I would really like to try and find one to put in our 31' Sovereign (1974), but I need to know more about it first and figured, who better to help me out than all the geniuses on this forum!

Thanks!
Lori

It's a table, shown in the stowed position when not in use or travelling.

Most mid-sixties/seventies have these tables...they ususally slide open or hinge to make a table big enough to us by anybody on the gaucho/sofa.

Folding table?
Many of the trailers still have them, including mine.
It also incorporates Zip Dee chair storage in many trailers.

Thanks! I couldn't figure out why there would be two tables up front, but I really like that idea. I'll have to keep my eyes out for someone selling one.

My trailer will sleep six, but eat 8 with the 2 fold out tables and the 2 Zip Dee chairs.
They may have also been thinking about cards, dominoes, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, etc.

Not sure, but I think AS referred to it as a map table. Not matter what, it is a great thing to have

It's where the 8-track player is hooked up. It has a hinge on the bottom and opens from the top. There should be an 8-track player/radio in there.

I have seen 8 track stereos on the street side and in the overhead cabinet above the couch.
I have also seen wall space heaters on the street side.

OK, I reinstalled that unit with a few changes to be able to fit our new futon. You can see the 8-track player along with some rockin Neil Diamond and Janis Joplin 8-tracks!

We ordered this table. It arrived with the back falling off. And there was no way to compensate for the curved walls in the AS. We returned it.

We solved the problem by buying a new Argosy Motorhome and we will be selling the Airstream as soon as hubby gets the subfloor in and all the furniture back in place. LOL

Hi All - we have a 92 Sovereign. We have the table that is supposed to store and flip up from beside the door - but it appears the attachment point for the wall is missing? Could someone post pictures of how this table is supposed to attach? Many thanks in advance! (would like to use the original instead of the temporary cheap plastic folding table)
