Nice! Am I correct in assuming that your old table was the kind that hung off the wall with the fold down legs on the opposite end? I think I'm seeing the brackets on the wall. If so, is this new set up more stable? One of the few things we didn't like out our new (to us) rig is the dinette table. I know everything is made to break down into yet an other bed, but we don't need that. Thanks.

Yes for the old one. Didnít like the wobble or the hard edged.
New one is much more stable though still a minimal wobble with rounded edges. And itís personalized.

Thanks, if you don't mind, where did you get the new base?

I am about to change out the dinette for a custom made wood table. Have ordered the Springfield pedestal. My understanding is there is 3/4" plywood under the vinyl flooring. How did you affix the pedestal to the floor to ensure it's stability? Did you use special screws, T-bolts, or Sikaflex ? Thanks!

I talked to Airstream who said thereís either 3/4 or 5/8 plywood. Itís not consistent. Also said thereís a gap between plywood and belly pan with nothing in the way. They use the same base and use stainless steel wood screws so thatís what I did. With loctite. Towed a few thousand miles now with no issue.

Thanks FoxTrot. I was going to call Airstream today, but now I don't need to I have also heard of using Sikaflex 221, which I suspect is a similar product to Locktite. Would you apply the Locktite into the predrilled holes where you would then screw in the stainless steel screws, and or apply it to the underside of the base platform, or both? Thanks

I've been thinking about doing this mod to our table for a while. Thanks for sharing your experience!
