Dinette or L shaped living Room

I have a 1969 31' Sovereign that I am renovating. I have a question in regards to taking out the L-shaped sofa and replacing it with a dinette and a straight sofa across the front. What do you think....? It seems that a lot of people would like a place to sit and play cards or eat without lifting the table and getting out more chairs.... but then again I am asking for your help in this matter..... It's all a matter of preference, but I tore out the entire front of my 27' Overlander and built a platform type couch across the front with storage underneath, as well as a countertop along the street side up to the fridge area for sitting at and eating dinner. In addition, I made a flip up extension so that two people could sit across from each other and eat dinner. These were just my preferences.

You can see some of my pictures by clicking on photos. Hope that helps!

Your call

How the area should be used varies so much from individual to individual.

For me, a comfortable "napping area" is of tantamount importance. As long as there is room to feed 4 people at a time, I have no problem utilizing a relatively small table area.

On the other hand, seating for a competitive card game is not high on my list of priorties - although it was at one point of my life.

The best thing about rebuilding, -- if you don't like it today, change it tomorrow!

L-shaped lounge

Should you decide to remove your lounge would you consider letting me transplant it into my coach? I have always liked that layout. I realize it will force some redesigns for a table and TV perch, but with flat panel LCD's coming down in price, it could be remedied. No rush and thanks for the consideration, TRogers.
