Cabinet edge banding coming loose

2014 FC. I have several small spots (1" up to 4") of edge banding on cabinets and drawers that have separated and are now no longer stuck to the plywood used for the cabinet door or drawer front. I tried using a hot melt glue gun but that creates small lumps of glue that prevent a complete and even adhesion of the band back to the wood. I would like suggestions for better ways to get these small strips to stick back in place and look good. Hot iron? A different glue? Any suggestions or experience appreciated.

Iron them back on. Cover the area with a double layer of paper towel, to prevent anything from sticking to the iron, use cotton setting and heat the area while pressing firmly. About 15 seconds should do it. Let the area cool before you touch it.

If the glue on the edge trim has completely dried out or failed, a few days of super glue will work. Just apply between the tape.amd the particle board, secure withasking tape until the glue dries and sets, then rove the tape.

I have used super glue and gorilla glue, both successful.
