Breathing life back in

Any recommendations on the best way to bring life back to the interior wood surfaces? It's a 2008 Safari - and everything is "mint" condition - but dated. Looking for best ideas (we're having the cushions recovered) for ways to bring this decor into the 2022's. Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by bringing back life to the wood surfaces. Aside from a good cleaning if they are in good condition I'd leave them be and focus on the soft surfaces. You mention you're getting new upholstery on the cushions - what about some new drapes as well. That's a great way to add a splash of life into the interior, and there are some really great fabrics out there.

Post a photo of the fabric you're putting on the cushions and perhaps we can make suggestions for the curtains.

Aside from a good cleaning, I think painting is your best option. I’ve seen some great work folks have done, but it is an involved job…prep work, small space, etc.

I think the idea to look for new curtain material is great. Probably one of the less expensive modifications that have a real nice impact.

You could also consider solid surface countertops. I swapped out the laminate surfaces with Corian (our kitchen counter had Corian from the factory) and it made a big difference. I did it myself. It wasn’t as difficult as expected and gave me an excuse to learn how to use a router.
