Bed platform made.
First of the interior made. All said and done I'm happy. Lessons learned so others won't make the same mistakes.
1. 1/4 in. ply is not truly 1/4". Dado saw plaid only does 1/4".
2. Air nailer with 1 1/4" nails will shoot though two pieces of 3/4" wood. Unless air pressure is turned way down.
3. I used a water based stain and it really lifted the grain. I used a lite stain, pine. Sanding for the varathain top coat was tuff as it wanted to sand though the color. May go back to Watco for the rest of the cabinets if I can get a good color match. If not I'll just soldier on........
