Bathroom Cleaner

We just purchased a 1968 Overlander. What do you use to clean the bathroom (i.e. toilet, sink, tub)? We've never had any kind of RV, so I don't have a clue......

Hi Tracy~
Welcome to the forum~
Congrats on your new unit~!!
I personally never use anything but what's mild such as liquid soap.
AJAX is a no-no~
(Way too abrasive and coarse..)
Just a suggestion:
Make as much use of the comfort stations at the campground as I can.
That way, I keep the unit clean and fresh at all times..

ciao

Thumbs up Cleaning the bathroom...

There is a cleaner call Gel Gloss. It is made specifically for fiberglass and plastic. It works great, without any abrasives and will even remove some minor set in stains. Available at Menard's, Home Depot, WallyWorld.

Last week I recaulked the shower and I used CLR to remove soap scum on the walls and floor. It was quick and easy, and it didn't affect the ABS. I had been trying to clean those walls and floor for 2 years and nothing seemed to do a good job. I had the CLR to clean my espresso machine and I figured I'd give it a try. In those 2 years I tried everything. If you want the soap scum gone, try some CLR. It's handy stuff.

CLR is a product made by Jelmar
CLRŽ is a powerful formula available for dissolving tough calcium and lime deposits and surface rust stains from your tubs, toilet bowls, sinks, glass, chrome, fiberglass and stainless steel. CLR can also be used to clean coffeepots and humidifiers and outside to remove surface rust stains from cement and stucco.
CLR stands for Calcium, Lime & Rust

CLR has not worked for me. Although the active ingredients will do the advertisiing's claims, it is way too weak to work in a reasonable amount of time.

For overall cleaning everywhere in my Overlander, Scrubbing Bubbles just cannot be beat.
