Anybody Need gaucho and vanity?
I am in the process of "updating" our '69 Sovereign and have some parts that I have removed that I would like to find a new home for. I have removed the center vanity and closet to install a second twin bed. I have also removed the front gaucho to install two recliners. Might as well be comfortable when not outdoors. The parts are heavy and bulky so I don't think they can be shipped. I live in Canyon about 15miles south of Amarillo, TX. I will give them to the first person that can figure a way to get them. They are in fair shape. I will post pictures of them to my file. I think I uploaded them as attachments. Will see.
cheers, bill b.

Wish I was closer....
Our Sovereign came without any front seating at all. We too, have discussed putting in recliners, but have been unable to find any that are small enough so that both of us could recline at the same time. Now we are considering rebuilding some type of gaucho or corner unit. That's the last thing to do so we have some time to consider options.... if you were closer, I'd be picking those gauchos up.
I hope you don't regret tearing out the closets and vanity to put in another bed. One thing that sold us on the one bed configuration was all the closet space, especially since this will be our retirement home of sorts. We may get tired of crawling over each other to go to bed, but it will be fun....
Good luck with your remodel.

I have a 71 and a 73 with faux walnut paneling and aluminum frame. I could use the aluminum sliders and plastic end caps if there are any, which I doubt. Any way sounds like the gaucho is already spoken for. But if not I will pay shipping.

Bill, you may have already gotten rid of the cabinetry but I have a solution for shipping if you were so inclined. I too found shipping an Airstream bathtub, light but bulky (45"x32"x16"), was extremely expensive, qutoes over $250 for freight from Riverside, CA to Cortland, NY and the recieptient would have to drive to drive to a freight terminal in Syracuse. My Dad reminded me of Greyhound; they shipped to Cortland for $62! There is no tracking ability and it takes about twice as long as they quote but it got there in good condition.

Sorry, but they all are gone. I now have the two recliners side by side in the gauchos place.
cheers, bill b.
