So, I gutted my 1969 Trade Wind 25'. I found a couple of nice cabinets at Re-Store and mounted them after installing the new floors, after some fancy cutting and a lot of reinforcing I have them straight and true (quite the feat in an Airstream I might add). I riveted aluminum to the wall in the kitchen and modified a home light fixture to
12V LEDs. I have my butcher block counter tops sitting in place right now and will be cutting for the range and sink today. The vent hood is gone with the overhead cabinets so I've got half of a hole to deal with. I'm looking for options to make it either go away or look functional. My ideas are to either fabricate a stainless steel round vent with fan, or rivet a small patch of aluminum over it and paint it to match the wall. My new range has a down draft vent so I really don't need function. Any ideas??
