'84 Excella 31' holes in side of cabinets on either side of couch

Anyone have any idea what goes into these holes?

A 31' hole is mitey airey...actually those pictures look like a wee speaker would be mounted in there.

I'm not finding any wires behind the holes. They may have been completely removed. I've been looking on the internet at other 84' Airstreams in hopes to see a picture of someone else's interior to get a clue. No luck yet.

No wires at all, eh? Do you have any paperwork that might indicate purchases for the coach? They could be for lights, also, but an odd area. Judging from the screw holes, I'd say is was not factory.

Mystery solved. Someone put phone jacks there. Now I have holes to fill.
