73 sovereign international overhead cabinets

Acquired 73 international which was conveyed on the property when I bought a small cottage on the coast of Maine (Downeast). Airstream hasn't been on the road for 20 years, original owner maintained it with love and care for half its life and now it's used as overflow guest space in summer. Needs lots of basic maintenance work (seals around windows and vents, sticky tambour doors, occasional water and gas leaks), and I'm not handy and neither is my husband; we depend on local folks like our plumber and carektaker, who know nothing about Airstreams. Has anyone had a similar challenge or suggestions about how to get basic maintenance handled? We've had a few bad experiences with well-meaning folks who offered to help and lacked the knowledge about the systems.
Biggest headache at the moment is trying to figure out what parts I need to fix the cabinets over the twin beds. One cabinet drops down several inches after I close the door, and has to be propped up with a piece of wood underneath the cabinet. Looks like there are brackets that need to be repaired or replaced. Does anyone know what these are called and where I can get them?

Hi, welcome to the forums.

Do you mean the doors are dropping down or the whole cabinet?

I think it's the door, but can't say for sure since Airstream isn't where I am right now.

Hi,

Is this what your talking about. The blanket cabinet that's under the overhead storage bin. Not sure how to fix it but maybe a photo will help you find someone who does.

Good luck....
