65 Safari Cabinet Hardware

1965 22' Safari. I'm looking for 4 hinges and 2 door knob/latches to match the rest. Any ideas out there? Help is always appreciated.

I just heard from Andy at Inland RV and those latches and hinges are long gone. Perhaps someone out there upgraded cabinets and might have some laying around. Any help is appreciated.

I may have them from my old 65 Safari. Can you post pics of what you are looking for?

I just took a look at your pics of your 56 Safari - Wow! Very Cool! I've been bitt'n by the restore bug and hope my 65 will turn out as nice as your 55.

Pics will be posted in the morning.

Thanks,
Tim

The pics show the hardware I am looking for. Need 4 hinges, 2 push knob/latches. If they are like yours please let me know. Maybe a PM with your price.

Thanks a bunch for checking.

I might have a couple of those left over, but not in as nice of shape as yours, the hinges have slight rust/pitting. I will try and check tomorrow and let you know...

It's appreciated. I have found that a little bit of Comet cleanser lightly rubbed on surface cleans the hardware up a bunch. Let me know if you do find that you have some.

Thanks again for looking.

You wouldn't have one more push knob, would you? Can't find one anywhere, and I would hate to end up with just one different than the others.

Sorry for the hijack...

1965 safari hardware

Hi,
I was just recently introduced to this site and was searching for a pull knob for my 1965 safari. I noticed conversations between a few members on selling the exact hardware I was looking for. I noticed the persons name who had the hardware was Great pumpkin but I don't know if I can contact him directly. If they are reading this and have any hardware left I am looking for one pull knob. If anyone has any idea where I can find one I would appreciate it greatly.
Thanks
Laurie

Post Hello I am looking for a part..

I have a 1965 Airstream Safari, but my front door handle broke. Do any of you have this part for sale or do u know where I can buy one? I have looked everywhere online and I cant find one from the big stores. They're all too small to fit.
I appreciate the help.

Do you mean the entrance door lock?

If so, you can upgrade the trailer to use the same lock that the 1966 to 1969 trailers used.

That lock is called an L-100 specail.

Makes me wonder what entrance door lock the 1965's had (Chesler?). The L-100's are not of very high quality either. At least mine wasn't.
