Thumbs up 28' RBQ FC Recliner install

Soooo my DW was not thrilled with the cushions on the lounge/couch. I was less unpleased (is that even a word?), but agreed they weren’t too comfortable. I read many a link on re-stuffing the cushions with higher density foam etc. I also contacted a few places that will reconfigure for recliners and so on. We ultimately decided to go with these recliners after seeing an identical 28’ RBQ FC with them installed. I like that we retain the storage area behind the lounge/couch. I like that it was as much as $18,000 less than some of the other places. And, I get a wee bit of satisfaction out of something I was able to do myself. It was insanely simple. We may end up making the adjacent padded area into something; a flat surface, extend the counter somewhat, maybe a few storage drawers and a flat area, or leave it. Not sure as of yet. Also, I have yet to finish (as in cover) the panel covering the opening into the electrical area.

Full disclosure: I haven’t driven on an extended trip, but I did take it back to our storage place and the road is less than perfect. They did not move and are not secured with straps, bolts etc. (The folks who had this configuration with these exact recliners said they did not move.)

Trying to hit the road to Top of Georgia later this week. If we encounter any craziness, or lessons learned worthy of sharing, we’ll get back to the Forum & report.

Happy travels!

I updated my 2007 25' lounge with Spring Down cushions. I am now having the same thing done to my 2023 Flying Cloud 28RBT. Spring Down are inner coil spring cushions with down filling on top. Super comfortable. And not terribly expensive, but not cheap either. The bAck Cushions are just down filled. On my last one this was unbelievably comfortable.

The only place I could find them is at Rogers Brothers Fabrics in Florence, SC. Very close to the intersection of I-20 and I-95. I was just there last week and Had Matt Rogers help me out with the measurements, and then we picked out a fabric. I already had one brand picked out but he told me not to use that brand because the fabric fails.

So anyway we picked out a fabric, and the Total is right about $3,900.00. This is for the lounge and the dinette. Matt ordered some additional fabric included in the price so I could recover the storage area behind the lounge and the 'Arms" on either side of the lounge. I will do this my self. It is really easy, just staple gun on. I did it on the 2007 25 foot

Interesting when I was there they were working on a order for one of the really high priced Airstream Customization Companies.

I highly recommend this company,

Very nice!

What is the width of each recliner?

What is the model number and manufacturer?

Nice upgrade. Can’t figure out why AS put a skinny cushion on the Passenger Side dinette in the 25’. Apparently, somebody’s butt needs to be uncomfortable.

Red face Bradd and Hall

Thanks Rich.

Our model is the Lambright Lazy Relaxor Lite RV Recliner in Ultra Leather and our color is Elephant. The Lite variant will fit thru the Airsteam door opening (when not assembled). Very happy with the company; easy to deal with, sent the samples of leather we requested, and very impressive shipping, and good communication. Jaison was who I dealt with. The chairs came in separate boxes, stacked and buffered, wrapped and then strapped to a slighlty oversized pallet. Not even the plastic wrap was torn!

24” width overall - Complete specs are on the site.

DW likes her home recliner (Stressless) with the little side table so we ordered hers with a table. I do not recommend the side table. Reason is once in place for use it doesn't lock to level...or any position. It just rests/pivots onto your thighs. So, unless your thigh height makes it a level surface, forget about having your coffee etc on it. The table material is nice, but I don't think she'll ever use it, so it was a waste of money for us.

Hope this helps.

We put Lazy boy recliners in our trailer. Secured to the floor with a lag bolt with the head cut off, screwed into the floor, then hole drilled through the back of the foot of the chair. Chair foot drops over the bolt which is long enough to go all the way through the foot and stick out the top. Cotter pin locks the foot in place (hole drilled through the lag bolt for the cotter pin). We can remove the chairs if there's need (and there has been). Went through Alaska without problems.

Much appreciate the info.

We had a double loveseat, a "Felicia" by Best Products if memory serves. We ordered it for our 30 FC RBQ wayyyyy back a while ago. Unfortunately they no longer make this loveseat.

We haven't found a suitable double electric recliner that narrow for our current 25 FC RBT, so at the moment we are using a single recliner kinda sorta spare from the sticks and bricks.

I was very interested in these as an option. I will pass on to DW for info.

Thanks again.

Edit to add: I found my thread with the details on the Loveseat we installed in 2017. Wow time flies.

It was a ""Felicia Power Space Saver Console Loveseat", L270CQ4 Fabric 26505U Color Straw:", but NLA, unfortunately:

That looks wonderful! Wow very nice. We had our Dinette cushions replace at an auto/boat upholstery family business in town. Had great choices of durable and fabric for car seats and boats. I designed the stitching and they made the covers zippers and all. very reasonable, perfect fit, marine grade vinyl, no fad waterproof great selection of colors and trim

Thumbs up Good info!

Thanks Tadfar. SC isn't too terribly far for us and thinking to the future, and possibly improving the dinette cushions, this is good to know. Much appreciated.
