1978 Sovereign International - nightstand/table

Hello All,

New to the forum, and just posted an introduction. Glad to be here.

I have a beautiful 1978 Sovereign International 31' in excellent shape. The ONLY thing missing is the bedstand/nightstand between the bunks in the rear. Everything else is all original and working as it should. The original owner took it out because they wanted something larger there (which I took out already).

Anyone know how I could get the original?

Many thanks, and I'll owe someone big if I can get this detail ironed out.

Sometimes interior items show up for sale in the classified section of the Forum. I doubt you'll have luck finding an original nightstand anywhere else.

I have seen where people buy a ready made stock cabinet from the home center and make that work.

Thank you for the reply! I’ll keep an eye open for the nightstand on the classifieds here, in case one pops up.

In the meantime, what is the “home center”?

By "home center" I just meant stores that sell simple, lightweight furniture, like Home Depot, Ikea, and Walmart. With a little creativity you could probably make the nightstand / cabinet match the original look of your interior.

The nightstand in my trailer is a very simple design made from 1x2s for the face frame and 1/2" plywood for the sides and doors. In 1970 Airstream still used real wood, after that everything was a plastic laminate.
